Gemstone of the Forest
Hello Readers!
I'm starting this blog so that we can interact with one another. I have recently published my first fantasy novel called Gemstone of the Forest. It is the first in the series Gemstones of Glory. I had so much fun writing this book, but it took a long time to get it written and published. I thought that this would be a good place to share with you my journey of writing and for you to interact with me about the story. There are hidden gems of meanings in my book! At first I wanted to explain some of the hidden meanings but decided to have my readers find those things that are hidden on their own. How fun is that!
This is a photo of the book cover and some bookmarks that my daughter made. The bookmarks are for sale for $15 plus shipping. They make great Christmas gifts along with my book or just for the pleasure of having a bookmark made of a citrine crystal. Let me know if you would like to buy a bookmark in the comments and we will work it out. My daughter digs for crystals in Arkansas and I have been on many adventures digging for real gemstones. Mostly quartz crystals. She is on Facebook and TikTok as Arkansas Crystal Girls and has great videos digging crystals and yes, I am in some of them.
Writing Journey: Yes, crystal digging influenced me recently, but I started the idea of this book in 1988 when I was given a college assignment.
Finding a gem in Gemstone of the Forest: There is a mountain fairy that is a citrine crystal. Who is it?
Hint: I didn't tell you in the story that this fairy is a citrine crystal but the fairy's name...
Until next time: enjoy the journey!
